I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for support can feel difficult, vulnerable, or even overwhelming, and taking this step often carries more courage than it may seem. Whatever has brought you here, you do not have to navigate it alone. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, breathe, and begin untangling what feels heavy, uncertain, or disconnected.

Anam Cara, is a Celtic phrase meaning “soul friend”. Anam Cara Connections is a therapy practice rooted in the belief that understanding ourselves happens through connection with our inner world, with others, with nature, and with the stories that shape our lives. Stories help us remember where we come from, make sense of where we are, and imagine where we are going, strengthening both individual growth and community.

With a gentle, inclusive, and grounded approach, Anam Cara Connections offers space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what feels true and meaningful. The focus is on cultivating connection, creating community, and supporting growth in ways that feel authentic, supportive, and human.

Who I am

I am a RSW, with a Master of Social Work in clinical practice with a trauma-informed lens. I integrate many modalities as I believe healing is not a one size fits all journey. In our sessions we will explore healing using DBT, CBT, somatic therapy, solution focused therapy and narrative therapy as well as others. Drawing from trauma-informed care, I use a variety of approaches such as mindfulness and connection to best meet your personal goals while building a brave space for healing. 

​​Having worked in health care for many years I have a holistic view of people and how connections can help in the healing process.  While I enjoy working with adults my specialty is working with women and helping them see their strengths.  I have a certificate in women’s mental health and a certificate in menopause and mental health.  I was trained to use ACT, DBT and CBT as well as others in treating the unique mental health challenges women feel such as isolation, body image, ADHD, identity and purpose as well as the common phrase I just don’t feel like myself! Together, we’ll explore the stories that have shaped your journey, helping you move through life’s transitions and create a future aligned with your desires.

Therapy with me is meant to feel safe, supportive, and grounded in connection. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan when you arrive. We can take our time, start where you are, and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I see therapy as a shared process, where your experiences and perspectives are honoured. My role is not to tell you who to be or what to do, but to walk alongside you as you explore what’s been shaping your life and what you want moving forward.

Stories are an important part of our work together. The stories we carry help us understand ourselves, our relationships, and our sense of belonging. In therapy, we gently explore these stories with care, curiosity, and compassion, allowing space for reflection, healing, and new possibilities. Our sessions may include conversation, practical tools, body-based awareness, or moments of quiet reflection—always guided by what feels most helpful to you.

  • Not at this time. Currently I offer virtual or phone appointments through a secure service.


  • I require 24 hours notice for cancellations. A 50% fee will be charged for cancelled appointments within 24 hours, and full fee if missed appointment without notice. I understand that life happens and will work with you to reschedule as early as possible.

  • At this time I do not offer direct billing to outside insurance. However I do provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurance.
